Our Story
isle-yard emerged from a simple observation: most deep learning education either drowns learners in mathematical abstraction or rushes through practical tutorials without building genuine understanding. Neither approach prepares professionals for the nuanced challenges they encounter in real-world AI development.
Founded in 2019 by a group of researchers and industry practitioners, we set out to create something different. Our courses combine rigorous theoretical foundations with substantial hands-on projects, all guided by instructors who have navigated the same learning curves our students face.
A Team Built on Experience
Our instructors have contributed to research published at NeurIPS, ICML, and CVPR. They have built production systems at technology companies and consulted for organisations implementing their first machine learning initiatives. This breadth of experience informs every aspect of our curriculum design.
More importantly, each instructor genuinely enjoys teaching.
